Percussion Performance

Sticks and Mallets

You will learn the proper techniques to wield the sticks and mallets used to pull the sound out of a drum and other percussion instruments with our instructor, Ben Kapp. Start off small with a practice pad work up to the full size kit.

The Heartbeat

Music needs to be driven forward by something, whether its the movement in chords or the power of the lyrics and voice of the performer, and we will hear the drums as the heartbeat of the song driving it forward with different rhythmic techniques, from basic to complex.
