Posture and Technique

The cello teachers at Sound Studios Olympia, Ben Kapp and Keadrin Cain, will get you off to a great start learning how to properly hold and play the cello. From there you will build the ability to make the cello sing.

The Tenor

Historically the tenor voice was given the prominent role in singing groups and remains the range for most modern male soloist singers we hear on the radio. The cello sits comfortably in that range, as well as deeper, giving it the ability to play beautiful and often sad melodies.
