Music Lessons in Olympia
Christina Brockmöller | Instructor
Born in the Pacific Northwest, Christina felt the gravitational pull of music at age five. She became church accompanist at age eight and was pursuing serious classical study by age thirteen. Christina took a hiatus from classical piano for seven years to pursue work in the medical field, but her desire for a career in music continued.
Christina is a prize winner of numerous piano competitions and has been a part of many chamber ensembles. She has performed in various locations such as Benaroya Hall in Seattle and in Blackbox Theater in New York City. Christina received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Music in 2014 from the University of Washington in Seattle, Washington, and her Master of Music in Solo Piano Performance from New York University in 2020 where she taught as an adjunct piano instructor.
Christina allows her passion and knowledge of musical study to create an interactive and nurturing environment with students. She is an active member of the Music Teachers National Association (MTNA) and in high demand as an instructor and piano adjudicator. Giving back to the community, she has participated in non-profit organizations in Washington State.
While composing original pieces for her recorded debut, Christina is also preparing a series of upcoming concerts for the 2020-2021 year featuring romantic and contemporary works. Her favorite pastime is writing and hiking in the PNW.
